Grand Rapids was named the second-most popular destination for millennials, with nearly 73% of those who have recently moved to the area falling into this generational category. Combined with the number of millennials already living in Grand Rapids who make up 27% of the total population, the West Michigan city comes in at a close second to Madison, Wisconsin.
With strong employment growth and a more affordable cost of living, millennials making $53,000 annually can afford 22% of homes currently for sale in the Grand Rapids area.
