Grand Rapids named No. 1 metro for living a balanced lifestyle
Grand Rapids was recently named the top city in the nation for living a balanced lifestyle by MagnifyMoney. Factors taken into account on this ranking included average commute time, housing cost relative to income, income relative to hours worked, and people in excellent health.

The Grand Rapids metro placed No. 1 ahead of nine other cities including Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Raleigh, N.C., Kansas City, Mo., and Columbus, Ohio. With a high score of 83 out of 100, Grand Rapids was recognized for its low commute times (22 minutes), low income equality, and housing priced at only 18% of income.
