Grand Rapids named No. 2 Best Business Climate in the country among mid-sized metros

In its 16th annual ranking, Business Facilities' 2020 Metro Rankings Report named Grand Rapids, Mich. as the No.2 Best Business Climate in the country among mid-sized metros.

In its 16th annual ranking, Business Facilities' 2020 Metro Rankings Report named Grand Rapids, Mich. as the No.2 Best Business Climate in the country among mid-sized metros.

The Federal Reserve Bank identifies the five key components of a 'positive' business climate as: education, physical infrastructure, regulation, taxation and modernization.

Michigan as a whole also landed a No.1 spot in the 2020 Annual State Rankings Report for its Automotive Manufacturing Strength. This follows the Michigan Economic Develop Corporation's (MEDC) Deal of the Year Gold Award from Business Facilities in January for the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) $4.5B expansion project.
