Grand Rapids named top housing market for millennials
Millennials, who make up roughly 11% of homeowners in cities with populations over 150,000, were found to make up 19.5% of Grand Rapids' home-owning population. This is the second highest concentration of home-owning millennials, only falling behind Clarksville, Tennessee at 23%.
Home improvement online guide and contractor/homeowner matching platform, ImproveNet, recently released a study of U.S. cities with the highest rates of millennial homeownership. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the company analyzed 173 of U.S. cities with populations of 150,000 or more.
Millennials, who make up roughly 11% of homeowners in cities with populations over 150,000, were found to make up 19.5% of Grand Rapids' home-owning population. This is the second highest concentration of home-owning millennials, only falling behind Clarksville, Tennessee at 23%.
