Grand Rapids ranked one of the hottest job markets in the country

Each year, the Wall Street Journal creates a ranking of cities with the hottest job markets. The Right Place is proud to share that the City of Grand Rapids has earned a ranking of 17 out of 55 on this list for 2023.

According to WSJ, the ranking was generated based on five factors: “the unemployment rate, the labor-force participation rate, changes to employment levels, the size of the labor force, and wages.” With an overall ranking at #17, Grand Rapids ranked within the top five for “labor force participation” and the top ten for “change in labor force size.”

As Michigan’s second-largest city, Grand Rapids continues to grow as a hub for economic prosperity and innovation.
