NCEDO and The Right Place assist Harbison Walker International with $1.4 million investment in Newaygo area operations

Today, The Right Place, Inc. and the Newaygo County Economic Development Office (NCEDO) announced that it has assisted Harbison Walker International in expanding its Newaygo County operations. The $1,470,000 investment by the company to expand its manufacturing facility will be supported by a P.A. 198 tax abatement by Everett Township. The township board approved the support at its October 11 meeting.

Harbison’s Newaygo facility manufactures refractory brick and other refractory products used in the production of steel. This proposed addition is to be used for storing, transporting and dispensing a new additive for its current brick mixes.

The company had opportunities to expand in states where it maintains operations but chose Newaygo.
