Birgit Klohs, one of the most influential and successful business development strategists in Michigan, announced today that she will retire from The Right Place, Inc. on January 31, 2021.

Hello West Michigan’s Program Manager, Rachel Bartels, has been named as a 2018 recipient of the Grand Rapids Business Journal (GRBJ) 40 Under 40 award.

This week, The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) announced that The Right Place, Inc. was accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization (AEDO). The Right Place has become one of only 62 economic development organizations in the country to achieve AEDO accreditation.

The Right Place, Inc. recently appointed six new board members to the 2018 Right Place board of directors, replacing seven retiring board members. Leadership of the board of directors remains unchanged, with three officers continuing their terms.

The Economic Club of Grand Rapids has named Birgit Klohs, president and CEO of The Right Place Inc., its 2017 Business Person of the Year. Klohs received her award during the Economic Club’s 2017 Annual Dinner held on June 19^th.
