The Right Place assists Axis Automation with Walker expansion

Today, The Right Place, Inc., in collaboration with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), announced that automation solutions provider Axis Automation will be expanding their facility at 3220 Northridge Dr. NW in Walker. The company plans to add 50 new high-tech STEM jobs and $5.7M in capital investment to support demand from new customers and markets.

Axis Automation is an automation solutions provider for manufacturers. Established in 2015, the mission of Axis is to support the adoption of automation solutions that empower people and enhance productivity. The Axis team conceptualizes, engineers and builds equipment specializing in robotics, assembly, joining, conveyance and vision applications for a wide variety of industries.

“Continuing our growth in Michigan enables us to confidently invest in our team and facilities which, at the end of the day, support our customers and mission,” said Ryan Ruster, Lead Project Manager, Axis Automation. “The MEDC and The Right Place have both been very supportive of Axis and we are grateful for the partnership. Their support has proven critical to our continued growth in Michigan.”

The Right Place worked closely with the MEDC to ensure the company continued its growth in the region rather than out-of-state locations. With the approval of a $500,000 Jobs Ready Michigan performance-based recruitment and training grant, the MEDC is supporting the expansion through the Michigan Strategic Fund. Axis Automation plans to invest heavily in recruiting, training, and retraining STEM-oriented talent.
