The Right Place recognized as Top Economic Development Organization in 2024 by Purpose Jobs

Today, The Right Place, Inc. was recognized as one of theBest Economic Development Organizations in Emerging Tech Hubs in 2024by Purpose Jobs.

Purpose Jobs, the largest community of startup and tech professionals, compiled a list of the top 30 economic development organizations that are helping put emerging tech hubs on the map. The list covered organizations serving Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and more. Other Michigan EDOs that were recognized include the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Ann Arbor SPARK, Detroit Regional Partnership, and Innovate Marquette SmartZone.

As tech hubs continue to grow outside of the coastal regions, economic development organizations are a critical component to continuing their growth and success. View the full list of recipients here.

This announcement comes just over two years after The Right Place first announced its 10-year tech strategy for the region, which serves as a roadmap for accelerating Greater Grand Rapids’ position as a tech hub. The strategy’s goal is to create 20,000 new jobs in the tech sector, making it 10% of regional employment.
