Pitch North is an idea pitching competition created to spark change and promote entrepreneurial progress in some of West Michigan's more rural counties. A panel of judges will evaluate submissions from area residents seeking a chance to be finalists at the live pitching event in June. Celebrating its 4th year, Pitch North returns to an IN PERSON setting in 2022!

FAQ
When and where will the finale event be hosted?
The Pitch North 2022 event will be on June 14th at Heritage Farms Market Event Barn.
Is the Pitch North event open to the public?
Yes! Anyone is welcome to attend the finale event, regardless of county residency status. Registration is still required. Contest rules only apply to applicants looking to submit their ideas to the Pitch North judges.
Is there a cost associated with Pitch North?
Nope! There is no cost to submit an idea to the Pitch North competition, and the finale event is free to attend.
Can I still submit an idea even if I don't live in Newaygo, Lake, or Oceana county?
Unfortunately, no. Only residents of the three aforementioned counties are eligible to participate in the competition.
When is the entry submission deadline?
The application is currently closed. Submission entries were accepted up until May 8, 2022 11:59pm.
What are the rules of entry?
- Pitch North is only open to residents of Newaygo, Oceana, or Lake counties. Proof of residency will be required with your pitch submission.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at time of entry.
- Submissions are only accepted on an individual basis. Checks for winning entries will only be made out to an individual, not a group, business, or organization.
- Your idea must be your own.
- Only one entry per individual will be accepted.
- Prior winners must wait one calendar year before resubmitting, and must have a *new* idea they are submitting.
- All entries must be submitted by May 8, 2022 11:59pm.
What are the cash prizes?
- 1st Place - $5,000
- 2nd Place - $3,500
- 3rd Place - $1,500
- 4th Place - $1,000
- 5th Place - $500
